Software publisher makes use of Runaware’s market-leading system to give SMB customers a quick and easy way to try out its applications live in the browser.
Gothenburg, Sweden (December 4, 2007) – Today Runaware is pleased to announce that MYOB is the company’s newest European client to sign up with TestDrive.
Global business solutions provider, MYOB, is giving its prospective customers the opportunity to try out five of its leading applications by using Runaware’s TestDrive suite to make online demonstration system on the MYOB website.
The Runaware TestDrive service enables web visitors to run full working versions of the software packages without downloading any files or waiting for CDs to arrive in the post. All that prospective users or accountants who want to evaluate MYOB’s software need do in order to run packages, is click on the relevant icon and provide a few simple details. It is quick, simple, and effective says Wayne Schmidt, General Manager of MYOB.
“Runaware TestDrive is an excellent way to provide our prospective customers and partners with a simple method of demonstrating just how effective and easy to use our solutions for small business are. We have already noticed a significant number of web visitors are choosing to run TestDrive demonstrations. We will be monitoring performance closely and are optimistic of seeing some very positive results over the coming months.”
The five MYOB applications that are available for immediate online demonstration are; MYOB BusinessBasics, MYOB Accounting, MYOB Accounting Plus, MYOB RetailBasics, and MYOB Payroll. These packages are designed to provide smaller, owner-operated firms with the tools they need to run their businesses more efficiently and to keep right up to date with current legislation.
Runaware TestDrive is already used by a number of organisations around the world to provide an immediate, online demonstration option and in many cases has become a vital part of their lead generation and sales processes. With fewer companies and individuals now willing or able to download software, due to concerns over security, tighter usage policies and more stringent network management, TestDrive is becoming an essential sales and marketing tool for all software companies with serious growth ambitions.
Commenting on the MYOB’s deployment, Tim Keyes, Chief Executive Officer of Runaware, says: “We are delighted that MYOB has decided to make use of Runaware TestDrive to provide customers with a way to instantly demonstrate and evaluate its software online. We’d expect MYOB to see positive results fairly quickly, as TestDrive has proved to be particularly effective as a sales tool within where the main target audience small and medium-sized businesses.”
The TestDrive environment rapidly accelerates decision-making cycles, speeding up the software evaluation process and saving time for both buyer and seller. It is highly effective in helping software publishers and ISVs to increase the number of visitors to their web sites that go on to view a full software demonstration. As well as publishers targeting the SMB sector, it is used be specialist software developers to transcend geographic and international boundaries and thus broaden their market reach and sales potential.
